Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 13, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This Cookie Policy explains how BLACKFILE uses cookies and similar technologies on blackfile.co, in compliance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and CNIL guidelines.

2. Consent Mechanism

When you first visit blackfile.co, a cookie consent banner is displayed with:

  • A clearly visible "Accept All" button;
  • An equally visible "Reject All" button, presented at the same level and in the same format as the Accept button, in compliance with CNIL requirements;
  • A "Manage Preferences" option to accept or reject cookies by category.

No non-essential cookie is set before you make a choice. Closing the banner without making a choice is treated as a refusal of non-essential cookies.

3.2 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Only set after you click "Accept All" or enable analytics in preferences.

We use privacy-respecting analytics tools. These tools are configured to anonymize IP addresses. They do not create individual user profiles and do not share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

⚠ Analytics cookie details will be added once the analytics tool is selected.

3.3 Marketing / Advertising Cookies

We do not currently use third-party advertising or marketing cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and your explicit consent will be required before any such cookies are set.

4. Managing Your Preferences

You can modify your cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly.

5. Cookie Retention

Strictly necessary cookies expire at the end of your browser session or within 24 hours (except Stripe fraud detection cookies which may persist for up to 1 year). Analytics cookies, if accepted, are retained for a maximum of 13 months in accordance with CNIL guidelines (Délibération n° 2020-091).

6. Do Not Track

We respect "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals. When DNT is enabled, no analytics or non-essential cookies will be set, regardless of your cookie banner selection.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
